CPR Reveals: Slow Claw

Late Sunday evening I ventured to Lexington to a mini-venue called Cultural Preservation Resources, or CPR. It is nestled behind Al's Bar on the corner of 6th and Limestone. I hadn't been there before, but I'm glad I went. Some friends were playing... The Blue Suckers... check 'em out.

That band right there ----> is Slow Claw.
I missed the first 2 or so songs, but when I arrived I knew I needed to get a little closer to what was going on. We rocked out, all 13ish of us. The setting, and space for that matter, was pretty intimate. These guys jammed out for a bit and then brought out a suitcase of instruments and started handing them out. Very cool. It was for sure the best $5 show I've ever been to, not to mention the best $5 cd. Be looking out for this band. They are touring around out of their van... so go to their Myspace and check out the show dates. I'm hoping to catch them in Newport, KY or Nashville in April.
